Nerd Nest Challenge 31 - Finish Up

The last challenge for the 31 days of Challenges with Pocket Your Year at the Nerd Nest was to finish up. Megan, the teacher, finished up her summer 2011 weekly Project Life spreads, which was her goal for the month of challenges.

I didn't really have a goal but I did start a planner during August for a different class because, while I love Google calendar for a calendar, I don't use it very often or well for to do lists or writing down memories for when I get around to scrapbooking pictures (usually years later right now). One of the items on my new to do list was to put the 2005 pages I finished last year into the albums they belong in. I ended up switching the albums they were in, one album was too small when I had finished all the pages in that time frame, it turns out, and one album was falling apart. I discovered I had a blank page around Halloween and nothing to put in there. When I was transferring the layouts to a different type of page protector that worked better for a binder style album instead of the post bound album they were in, I discovered that I had tucked some Halloween cards my sons had made at a homeschool group with friends. By not keeping most of them in the rectangle card shape, I was able to fit them all on one page. This layout finishes up my normal life 2005 albums and I'm so glad they are done and all in the albums. I still have a summer vacation/friends' wedding album to do from that year, but at least these are done. The wedding was in Missouri so we went early and did touristy things in St. Louis and then headed to the wedding, so it does make sense to combine them since it was all one vacation, just in case it seems weird to combine the two :-).

I used some Doodlebug Halloween stickers to add a little embellishment, since they felt like they went with the children's handmade cards that are the focal point of the page.
