Just Moved Cards

Last year we moved a lot, at least for us. The last time we had moved before then was in 1995 when we bought our condo that we sold last year. In 2006, we moved twice. We sold our condo and moved into my sister's basement, which they had finished for us, while we built a custom home. The basement was basically a 3 bedroom apartment, complete with a kitchenette - sink, dishwasher (the one we bought for our new house), fridge (again, the one we bought for our new house), microwave and cooktop. Our computers went into their loft area along with their computers (taking over 2 of their kids' desks) and we shared a washer and dryer in the basement. But it was truly better than I thought it would be. That was April 8th. We moved into our finished new house December 9th. Let me tell you, finishing up a new house (we painted and did the grout on the tile) and moving makes for a very hectic Christmas season.

I made 2 sets of "We've moved" cards to send to people. Once when we moved in April, once for the December move. In the April move I over-estimated how many I would need. For the December move, I made them in January and then realized that I had sent everyone Christmas cards and included the new address in the Christmas cards, so I didn't really need "We've moved" cards, now did I? Oh well.

This is the one I made in January. I borrowed the set from Karen, one of my good friends. It's a Stampin' Up set. I colored everything with my Prismacolor pencils. I got the main idea from the gallery on splitcoaststampers.com. I love how it turned out, too bad I don't really have a use for it : ).

This one is the one I made for our move in April. Not as good as the other one, but considering most of my crafting stuff was still in boxes, I feel I did pretty good. I did it in 2 colors, light yellow and darker yellow.
